We’ve all met someone like this.
Back when I was waiting tables at the Capitol Grille, there was a guy—brilliant ideas, thoughtful plans, big vision. He knew the numbers. He knew the process. But 16 years later… he’s still at that same restaurant. Still dreaming. Still thinking.
I’m not here to judge him. I love the guy. But here’s the truth:
Thoughts without action don’t build businesses.
And if you’re in real estate—where the game is fast, competitive, and relentless—you don’t have 16 years to think it through. You need action now.
What Comes First: Thought or Action?
You’ve probably heard people say, “Actions speak louder than words.”
Mark Twain added something to that: "...but not nearly as often."
The point? We talk more than we do.
We plan more than we move.
And for many agents, that’s the gap keeping them broke.
The system I teach in the No Broke Months framework combines beliefs → thoughts → action → results. But most agents skip the first step.
They try to force better thoughts—better habits—without working on what they believe about themselves.
So, Where Do You Start?
You don’t start with willpower.
You start with belief.
Your beliefs fuel your thoughts. Your thoughts shape your choices.
And your choices? That’s where your bank account lives.
Here’s what I teach through CPI and the No Broke Months model:
Surround yourself with the right people
Consume the right content (like this podcast)
Move your body: Exercise releases dopamine
Affirmations, meditation, visualization
Audit your relationships
Yes—these are tactical, practical things. But they all come back to one question:
Do your beliefs support the life you say you want?
Real Estate Doesn’t Reward Just Knowing
You don’t get paid for understanding contracts.
You don’t get a commission for thinking about lead gen.
You get paid when you take action—daily, consistent, belief-driven action.
So what are you doing today?
Thinking about making calls? Or actually making them?
Dreaming of listings? Or finding one?
