What Do You Do When You're Feeling Uncertain As An Agent?
“Even when the future is unclear, your faith in the process can light the path.”

Episode Summary
How to Eliminate the Unknown in Real Estate Sales
Being a real estate agent comes with its fair share of uncertainty. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “What if this doesn’t work out?” or “What’s next for me?”, you’re not alone. That fear of the unknown is real—and it can be paralyzing. But I want to share something with you today that can help you move through that fear with confidence.
The Realness of Fear
Let’s rewind to my birthday. My daughter gifted me an Oculus VR headset. Cool, right? One of the first games I tried was Walk the Plank. Sounds harmless… until I found myself virtually 120 stories up, walking a narrow wooden board over a city skyline. In reality, I was safe in my kitchen. But my brain? My brain was yelling, “Don’t fall!”
Panic. Sweaty palms. A full-blown adrenaline response to something that wasn’t even real.
And that’s exactly how fear of the unknown shows up in our real estate careers.
The Unknown Feels Real
Even when we logically know we’re on the right path—when mentors and coaches say “trust the process”—it doesn’t always feel safe. Just like I had to remind myself I was standing in my kitchen, sometimes you need to remind yourself that this moment in your career isn’t the edge of a cliff.
The anxiety you feel? It’s not because you're not capable. It’s because you’re standing in uncertainty.
The Antidote to Uncertainty: A Roadmap
So how do we eliminate that fear?
Think back to the last time you went on a long road trip. If you didn’t have a GPS, what would you do? You’d ask: Has anyone else done this trip before? What route did they take?
Success in real estate is no different.
Look around and ask yourself:
Has anyone like me—same background, same market—succeeded in real estate sales?
What systems or strategies did they use?
How did they handle the tough moments?
If the answer is yes—and I promise you, it is—then guess what? You have a path. You’re not blazing a brand new trail. You’re following a proven one.
Replace Fear with Action
Scientists don’t conquer the unknown by guessing. They collect data. They observe. They experiment.
In real estate, that’s what we do too. We study the models. We test the scripts. We track our numbers. We learn what works. And we refine.
It’s how I created the No Broke Months system—by taking what worked for others, refining it, and turning it into a repeatable process.
The Future Isn’t Fixed—but It’s Shaped by You
You don’t need certainty about what will happen tomorrow. What you need is confidence that what you’re doing today is based on a proven model.
And that belief alone can eliminate the unknown.
So the next time you feel that tightness in your chest, that mental “what if?”, remind yourself: others have walked this path. You can too. Your job isn’t to know the whole route. Your job is to take the next step.
Thanks for reading—and until the next post:
Be grateful. Make good choices. Help someone. Have the best day of your life.
And… go find that listing.
